Arrows (矢印, Yajirushi), also known as "angel arrows", is a celestial ability that is used by God, his angels, and chosen humans.
Description[]
The power of the arrows can be bestowed from an angel to a god candidate during the god choosing process. Once a god candidate is elected, this ability will be rescinded. However, if the elected god candidate allows it, the remaining god candidates can keep their arrows permanently.
The maximum range of an arrow is 31.6 meters. The distance that the arrow can travel can be increased to 60 meters by connecting 2 arrows. Kanade Uryu theorized that by combining 3 arrows, the distance could be increased to 90 meters, but this was never confirmed.
Once a person has fired their arrow, they cannot shoot another one for at least 2 seconds. However, if they have both the red and white arrows, then this cool down period is reduced to 0.3 seconds. Once the arrow has been release, it won't hit anybody except for the user's intended target, so they don't have to worry about properly aiming their shots.
Arrows cannot be dodged by anyone unless they have wings. Despite not being their intended purpose, Mirai Kakehashi accidentally discovered that arrows can be used to deflect other people's arrows.
Gaku Yoneda stated that in 150 years, humans would be able to make an equilvant God and arrows.
Red Arrow[]
Red arrows, also called "love arrows" and "Cupid's arrow", can make any person fall in love with the one who pierced them for 33 days. While someone is under the control of the red arrow, that person cannot be pierced by red arrows from others. Once the time limit is up or the person has died, the red arrow will return to the original user. Once someone has been pierced with a red arrow, they cannot be pierced again by the same person. The user can only use red arrows on a maximum of 14 people at a time.
The one who is pierced will feel extremely compelled to please the person who shot the red arrow and follow orders they're giving. They will also adopt the host's point of view. However, if a person wouldn't do something while under feelings of extreme love, the person who is pierced may not comply. When Gaku Yoneda ordered Shuji Nakaumi to kill Saki Hanakago, he defied it because even though Shuji believes Yoneda's theory that God was made from the imaginations of humans who believe in him is correct, Shuji Nakaumi believes it's morally wrong to kill other people who don't want to die just because they have different beliefs.
White Arrow[]
White arrows will kill any living being instantly who is pierced, including God and angels. Angels may use the white arrows on humans who are terminal to give them a peaceful death. Unlike the red arrows and the wings, only special rank angels can grant their god candidate partner white arrows.
