願ってもなにも出来ないと
わかってはいるけど
失う怖さが邪魔をしても
誰しも明日へ向かう

見えない 知らない
自由も愛も与えて
さぁ、選べ
舞い降りた天使達

感じる予感に
Shoot the arrow of fate.

翼に意思を 身を委ねて
倦まず弛まず
ただ 生きてたいんだ
もう いっそ嘘でもいいから
正義を貫く 最後で
『幸せになりたい』
ただそれだけ

It ain't over till it's over (shoot!!)

勇往邁進 go!

negattemo nanimo dekinai to
Wakatte wa iru kedo
Ushinau kowasa ga jama wo shitemo
Dare shimo asu e mukau

mienai shiranai
Jiyuu mo ai mo ataete
Saa, erabe
Maiorita tenshi tachi

kanjiru yokan ni
Shoot the arrow of fate.

tsubasa ni ishi wo mi wo yudanete
Umazu tayumazu
Tada ikitetain da
Mou isso uso demo ii kara
Seigi wo tsuranuku saigo de
“shiawase ni naritai”
Tada sore dake

It ain’t over till it’s over. (Shoot!!)

yuuou maishin GO!

Sure, longing won’t change anything,
There’s nothing I can do, but
Even if fear of losing blocks my path,
All of us move on to tomorrow.

Invisible unknowable—
Here! Both freedom and love.
Now, choose!Say the angels who swept down from above.

Sense your future, take aim,
Shoot the arrow of fate!

Let my wings decide, surrender my body;
Never tiring, always persevering!
I just want to live.
Even a lie when it’s needed,
But insist on justice! In the end,
‘I want to be happy’
Just simply that.

All of us move on to tomorrow.

Now, choose!Say the angels who swept down from above.

I just want to live.
Even a lie when it’s needed,
But insist on justice! In the end,
‘I want to be happy’
Just simply that.

Even if you could pretend it never happened,
That’s surely not what you would desire.
If you’ve realized what it means to cherish,
I guess you’re prepared.

Sense your future, take aim,
Shoot the arrow of fate!

If you hold your hand to the light,
So strong it dazzles…
Yes, you’re alive!
Gods of convenience or the like,
Won’t get us there. My future,
‘I want to be happy’
Just simply that.

The all-discerning eye—pray, look deep,
See the being even your ego can’t erase.

Think outside the box.
This isn’t the end.

It’s no one’s fault.
Even a heart that’s broken in despair
Is saved by the connecting RING.
Molded and reformed,
Changed and charged again.
Yes, fasten your cry to the shaft,

Sense your future, take aim,
Shoot the arrow of fate!

Let my wings carry me, surrender my body;
Never tiring, persevere!
I just want to live.
Even a lie when it’s needed,
But insist on justice! In the end,
‘I want to be happy’
Just simply that.

It ain’t over! It’s over. (Shoot!!)

Courage in hand, forward, let’s GO!

The angels reach out to God

The angels reach out to God

Twinkling stars blanket the void as royal blue clouds sweep to the left. The camera pans to the same direction followed by a fluid transition of a mix of light leaks and bokeh. Two rings in the chronological hues of the rainbow but in different sizes materialize in a zoom out flux to the right, with the smaller ring overlapping the other. A series of still frames presenting sculptures of unnamed angels is projected with either no or fade out transitions in between, until the camera reveals the thirteen angels piled on top of each other in the shape of a pyramid. At the peak of the pyramid is an undetermined angel with their right hand outstretched to the spaces of the celestial realm, in the direction toward God, who levitates in the realm while enveloped in a constant white glow emitting from a ring of which he stands in the middle.

Light floods the screen before a translucent shot of an unconscious Mirai Kakehashi lying on top of a backdrop featuring the night cityscape of Tokyo appears. The Platinum End logo assembles in the middle of the screen, followed by an abstract light leak pattern that vanishes alongside Mirai's body soon afterward. The Tokyo backdrop simultaneously turns black and white.

Saki overlooks the sea

Saki overlooks the sea

A rapid transition of angel feathers changes the main focus in the order of Mirai, a flooded and deforested land clouded in mist, and Saki Hanakago looking into the distance. A |Red Arrow spins on its tip. Afterward, a slideshow of the God candidates is projected: Saki overlooks the sea that is daringly colored red. Nanato Mukaido is hunched over in a hospital room with the presence of a doctor and a piece of paper in his hands. Chiyo Nakayama sits alone on top of a space dome and Tonma Rodriguez runs through a passageway. Saburo Tabuchi and Shogo Hatakeyama sit beside each other at a park, while Kanade Uryu stands in his home gazebo dressed in a matching suit and tie. Hajime Sokotani stands under the highway. Then, two clenched hands are shown before quickly letting go. A young Mirai smiles and a Red Arrow bursts.

Metropoliman and his crew with Blue and Yellow at the Jinbo Stadium

Nasse zooms through the air, then Metropoliman looks at the camera. He, Metropink, and Green then stand at the Jinbo Stadium while Metroblue and Yellow float in the air. Individual images of nine of the thirteen angels are shown before Mirai, in his red motorsport costume, summons a White Arrow and quickly withdraws it to instead reveal his Wings. An unknown figure slowly flies toward the sky with their Wings displayed. Hyperrealistic photographs of different kinds of flowers change opacity as they overlay on top of other portraits of structures and buildings. When the overlay ends, the Red Arrow continues to spin on its tip until it loses balance and topples to the left.

The opening ends with still frames of Mirai jumping off a building and Nasse catching him.

Second version[]

The second version of the opening is similar to the first, with a few changes in character appearances and design. The spinning Red Arrow was replaced with the White whereas snippets of the deceased God candidates during Metropoliman's era were replaced with those of the remaining living candidates.

Temari sees her reflection

Temari sees her reflection

After Saki overlooks the sea, Gaku Yoneda appears in his laboratory sitting in front of his computer. Susumu Yuito lies on his side as he plays on a handheld game console. Yuri Temari sits on the living room floor of her apartment as she views her Instagram feed. Her phone screen turns off and her reflection can be seen. Underneath a mountain of blankets, Shuji Nakaumi wakes and raises his head.

After Nasse flies through the air, Yoneda looks at the camera while holding a White Arrow. Masaya Hoshi and Manami Yumiki then stand side-by-side in the new national stadium.
